Balancing and Game Difficulty Update


I adjusted the game difficulty due to feedback about the game being too easy in the late game.

Adjustments:

  • I reduced the difference between enemy health and weapon damage in the late game. Enemies will now take more damage before dying.
  • Blast-Zones will now spawn more often and explode faster to be even more of a threat to the player (especially in the late game).
  • Fixed a bug where the Blast-Zones damage would instantly kill the player in the late game (-> now does a flat 250 damage to the player).
  • Added a little direction indicator to the character that points into the direction you are facing.
  • Added a level counter to the experience bar.

Overall the games difficulty now increases faster and should reach it’s peak once the player achieves a level of about 20-25 or about 15 minutes in game time.
